I am using the SC-2 for my Fastrack Switches. I am using the TMCC System not Legacy. When I  switch to the straight position the red light on the SC-2 lights up and the switch goes straight. When I press the Aux 2 to make the switch go to the turn out position, the red light does not go on and the switch does nothing.

I programmed the SC-2 as Switch#1 and I know not to use the #1 position for Fastrack switches. I have attached the wires to all the  5 positions with the same results. When i press the AUX 2 button the light on the command box shows it working.

Has anyone else had this problem with the SC-2 , or do you have any suggestions that may help.

Yea I have one now doing the same thing only on a Lionel Tubular Switch. The aux. 2 position don't work on the terminals for switch 4 on the SC-2. All the other terminals for the other 5 switches are working fine. It has been said on the forum that running a ground plane wire over the SC-2 sometimes helps. I have tried that but did not help on mine. Had some SC-1's that had a similar problem but that was fixed by replacing a part on the SC-1 board. Have not heard of a fix for the SC-2 .

Bobnj1,

EDIT: The SC-2 can be set for all switch, all accessory, or combination mode. Which one do you want to use?

have you tried SW and switch # and then Out (Aux2)?

You have to cut the ground trace for Aux power on the SC-2 and power it with the supplied power pack for FasTrack switches. There are threads on the forum about this. here is one. I used a Dremel with a cutting disk very gently. It's tough to get a file in there. That provides all 6 positions.

The other solution is to only use positions 2 -4(advanced 6) with the SC-2 in switch mode without cutting the trace. It's best to use the supplied power supply in this case also.

I use the SC-2s for 6 switches, cut the trace above Common/U and use a separate accessory transformer for about16 vac to the SC-2 power input terminals Power/A and Common/U.

I run a ground wire (the third wire power ground or pin #5 on the Legacy base DB-9) over the SC-2s. I also connect the Common/U to the track U and the Legacy U. That alone has greatly eliminated any missed switch commands.

Thank you for the replies. I am using the 120 volt power cord supplied with the SC-2 to power it.

I am not using the first switch position so I am using it for 5 switches not 6. I have tried all 5 of the other places.  When I click AUX#1 the SC-2 clicks, the red light flashes and the switch reacts. When I clix AUX#2 the red light on the command base reacts but the SC-2 does not click, the red light don't flash and the switch does not move. The SC-2 does not react at all when I use the AUX #2 button on the Remote.

When not connected to the SC-2 the switches work normally.

As i see it the problem has to be with the SC-2
