Does anyone know when using SCARM if i have a fastrack 22.5 degree cross over do i have to add the 1-3/8" half roadbed? or does it add it automatically or do i not need it at all?

I depends on your track geometry if you need it or not. I do not believe the software adds it for you.
I don't know that much about FasTrack, but the RR-Track software will not let you join other tracks to the 22.5° crossing without the 1.375" half-roadbed piece. My understanding is that if you try to join regular track without the piece, the roadbeds will overlap and not fit. It's the same with some of their switches. SCARM has a piece in the FasTrack library identified as 1 3/8" hRB (half roadbed) to use. AFAIK, the crossover comes with 4 half-roadbed pieces and 1 no roadbed piece.
I should have mentioned that I don't "think" there is any reason you can't cut away the roadbed on other track pieces if for some reason you don't want to use the 1 3/8" pieces.
