Is there a 3v sound file for the MTH UP DD40AX? I couldn't tell off the proto2 site.

Yes there is. Go to this site below and type in 20-2178-1 after clinking on the (upgrade kit sound sets) on the bottom right.
I got this back when I did it:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
/upglist2.asp, line 9

I got to another location on that site but the DD40AX came up with no sound set available.
The only sound sets I can see for any of the DD40AX locomotives are the older 5Volt version, which won't load into the upgrade kits as they have the 3Volt system.
Bummer! I specifically asked for an upgrade kit for the specific UP DD40AX and now can't find a sound file for it.
Here is a link to the page for the DAP version. It is 3V. The reason you could not find it is because the page has the correct designation (DDA40X) instead of the more common incorrect designation of DD40AX. http://www.mthtrains.com/content/20-2980-1
Thank you! I'd always wondered why MTH used that designation!
Here is the sound file I get when I do the search as I suggested in my post above:

I don't understand why you aren't able to get the upgrade sound file for the 20-2178-1 when I can clearly see it. You will come up with a page that looks like the product locator, but you must access it the way I suggest above or it won't work.
Go to:
Then click on:
UPGRADE KIT SOUND SETS (on the lower right side)
The next page comes up and click (SEARCH FOR ITEM)
Next, put in 20-2178-1 and press search.
You should see the Proto2 upgrade in the second square box under the search results.
Don't click on the engine's product number or you passed it and it isn't on that page.
The sound file I found is for freight yard sounds and the newer one Bill found is for passenger station sounds and has the quillable horn.
Good to go; I downloaded the freight sounds ... I see the 3V designation is in a different location in the file name now ... Mr. Wolfe just keeps shifting things around ...
