Good Morning Everyone,
I will start off with something I constructed in the past. I am not far enough along on my latest project to post pictures of it. Let's see what you have been working on.

Very nice, Alan. You captured that massive, busy look that makes structures like this so impressive. I can almost smell the grain dust in the air.

And don't forget that's not the only place one can "stick a bottle"
Steve,
i liked the way you constructed that model. You added some great touches.
The model I constructed was from scratch. I did not use the Korber Kit. It was not tall enough.
Thank you Art.
Alan, I am a West Coast city kid. Are the silos primarily concrete construction in real life? Also, why is the grain explosive, I don't understand that part...
John
Grain silos and elevators generate dust which under certain conditions can explode.
Thank you WB47, Grain dust...who knew? Your foam construction looks really good, please share your project when it's finished.
John
John,
Many grain silos of this size are concrete. There are steel ones also. As WB47 said, small particles of any combustible substance with lots of oxygen around can explode.

Wow Chris,
That is looking really nice. Great work.
Great work Joe, very impressive, keep posting photos of your progress.
Built some more 'dust collectors'. The tall ones are Faller HO scale industrial silos. The small ones are Faller HO scale farm grain feeders. I need to square up all the bins (32 of them). When I purchased from Plastruct they cut all to size for me. I thought I could get out of some work. As it turns out the heights are not all the same.
In later years, parts from BEDT ALCos helped keep SIRTOA ALCos pulling their weight!
