Here is the Greenville and Western Railway in 4x9, which I hope to build over the holidays - we shall see if I can get it done. The outside route is O44 1/2" using compound curves of O48 with small sections of O36, running right to the edge of the layout surface, and the inside is O36 minimum. Turnouts are O60 and O72'Y', with one O36 for a yard spur, and two O48 turnouts for optional connections to the CSX RR.

Ken - very nice! Your planned layout has lots of interest. I like that you have created the possibility for lots of switching. Nothing at all boring about this layout. Wishing you every success in building this project and then lots of fun operating the layout!

Great minds think alike. Those bottom two switches as a Class 1 connection are exactly what l have on paper as the Joint Line connection for my point to point short line. Glad to see my thinking justified, and will follow your effort to see it in practice.
