Took a couple pictures of activity on my branchline. Switching out some cars keeps the local busy. Hope you enjoy them.

Very nice.
Bob,
Like our old friend Ed Reutling (hope you are well Ed), you have the ability to put a lot in a small space, and it looks great! Like to see your track plan sometime!
Thanks,
Simon
Very nice. I've become very fond of switching layouts -- faster build; less space; ability for more detail.
Excellent work there. Lots to look at...
Chris
Looks great Bob
Brad, their called bollards. This supplier sell cleats and bollards etc.
Well it's fairly easy, but labor intensive. I build a substructure to the size required using basswood sheet first. Then I cut a LOT of planks typically 2 x 10 x12's, and stain them using an A/I mix. Then glue them on in an appropriate pattern as would any carpenter...staggering joints etc. Takes time...but the realism is worth it.
Thanks for your interest.
Bob
Outstanding work!
You have so much detail, very nicely done!
I appreciate the nice words gentlemen, Thank you.

Bob,
Outstanding! The extra effort you are putting into detailing those structures is really paying off.

Excellent. Just the way to do it. 2x10's and 2x12's, I hope!

Yes!
Hi Martin...I imagined a huge load of 2 by planks being trucked in...probably 2x10's in a few lengths. So I used 10, 12 and 14 footers to add some balance. Made sure to follow the presumed arrangement of joists beneath (this was obviously built in the pre-basswood sheetwood era)...

Even better! I have bundles of 100's of 2x10,12,14 and larger in the shop for just such purposes.
