Hello All, I have NOT been on the Forum in a Very Long Time. I recently got back into the Lionel Trains since retired and now, with so much time on my hands , have been enjoying the Thrill of Model Railroading all over again. With that said, Before I tell You about My Project, I Must admit, I am absolutely still a Newbie with Little Knowledge or experience other than as a User . I have Just Purchased a RED COMET and TENDER which is in need of Restoration. The Idea of Bringing this 85 Year Old Beauty back to Life is a very Exciting Challenge. I am a retired mechanic but know NOTHING about the electronic Workings of these trains and that is where i will Need the Most Help. i am also Very Interested in the History of the RED COMET SET, anything You can share. there are NO Videos of a Restoration on the RED COMET on Line so I Posted Mine on YOU TUBE...Attached is a Video Link to My First Installment of My Progress, I have Just Posted the Second One yesterday. I Hope You all can Help Me with some Guidance and Input on My Progress, or Mistakes I will Certainly be Making. Thank You in advance for watching and I look forward to hearing from You. Again, Please keep in Mind, I'm a Newbie, and so... "I don't know Nuttin', I'm a Old Dummy" DanO'
