My dad was a big fan of real and model trains his whole life. The last dozen of his years he collected O gauge tinplate trains, mostly the MTH reproductions.I was always impressed with the display cabinets he built for the collection.

That is a great presentation! Well set up and very clean.
DAN986, Everything is impressive, everywhere one looks. It's all so attractive that I think even somebody not in our hobby would find the place - its fixtures and treasures and atmosphere, inclusive - enjoyable to see and touch. We can sense, clearly, that he enjoyed life.

Fantastic display!!
Thanks for sharing those pictures of the tinplate trains buildings and accessories they are a joy to look at.
very nicely done and beautiful collection., thanks for sharing.
I've been working on something similar for a while now as the Ikea shelf units are beginning to look a little time worn. Did he build the cabinets himself or was it a custom job? (The wainscot panels really add to the overall effect.)
A gorgeous presentation, Dan!
A very nice display!
Beautiful.
I don't mind saying it; ....again "Your Dad's stuff is really awsome"
Very attractive display.
I particularly like the "countertop" display of track and accessories.

The cabinets were made by Mill's Pride Cabinets.I think he bought them at Home Depot.I don't think they sell those exact ones anymore, but I could be wrong.
