It's been 11 years since MTH produced the last one. I think the time is right for a new release.
LCT has probably run it's course for now.

We need more tinplate, no matter what mfg name icon it. Underneath, their all the same anyway.

I couldn't agree more. Hopefully MTH will add a little more weight to the locomotive. Heaven forbid they put traction tires on it.
I think there is a good chance. The Ives stuff and American Flyer is part of the deal with Lionel. They use the cars often. Olympian set, Legionnaire set, Flying Colonel, Presidents set, Black Diamond set, Mayflower set and a few more.
They could make a Mayflower set and Prosperity Special to keep everything nice and shiny.
Sorry about that Ives is not part of the deal. Hence, the Ives fold out catalogue.
