I have a TMCC NYC x-13 Crane Car and matching boom car ( 6-29851 )

It was working perfect when I used it a couple weeks ago.  Went to use it last night and all but 2 functions are ok.

1)  When I turn the red knob I can hear gear rotation but the cab does not rotate.

2)  When the big hook is selected and you move the brake/boost the cab will rotate with violent speed.

All other functions are spot on.   I sent this to Lionel some time ago and the return letter mentioned something about a loose gear. Any ideas?

Thanks

Found the source of the problem.  When you open the front side door where the gear engaging lever is,  not those two gears but the one behind and below them.  The set screw had come loose so the shaft was spinning inside the gear but would also engage when the large hook was operated, thus engaging cab rotation at a very high speed.  Pushed the gear on the shaft back towards the center of the crane car to properly mesh gear behind it and tightened set screw. Everything is working properly now.

The set screw isn't in the best condition. Is there anyway to find out how to get a replacement or what length and pitch it is?

Also want to mention that my boom car sounds would intermittently go in and out.  Found a loose connection on the board.
