I bought a new TPC300 this weekend. I hooked it up as I am adding it to the 3 others I have TR#1-3. I added this one as TR4. It worked fine however when I powered down then put power back from the transformer the unit had to have the number reassigned and occurs each time I power off. Somehow it is not keeping its id number. Any suggestions or should I just return it? thx

This may seem like a dumb question, if so sorry. Did you put the run/program switch back into the run position after setting the ID#?

Yes after setting it up I put the switch back to run. The unit works fine until I turn power off to it then loses id#. Is there a unit reset code? I did aux1 aux2 o. thx

Try programming as an engine. It will give you more possibilities and not take up the TR which is used for putting together trains.
I have lost the programming on occasion with the two that I have but have always been able to reprogram them. Just avoid the numbers 1 and 99 if you use or plan to use Legacy since they are default numbers.

If my suggestion does not work and you purchased it new it should be under warranty. You could just return it for a replacement unit.
Does it hold the ID # if you program it to another #, say TR 5?
