I can assign TR ID#'s to each ZW-L output (1-4) using my Cab1L as described in the ZW-L instruction manual. Then I control output voltage from each track using my Cab1L. It works perfectly using the Cab1L.

But inside the latest Cab3 (Android) app I cannot configure the TR ID# as you supposedly can if you have a Cab-2 remote (which I don't have).

Is the inability to configure TR ID #'s in the Cab3 a bug that has not yet been fixed? I have not tried assigning an ENG ID# to the ZW-L outputs because I prefer to use TR ID#'s for TRack power control.

Thanks,

That is a known issues with the Cab3 app, you can't address tracks through the app yet. Either A. Use a separate remote (cab 1L) to power up tracks and then use the app to control your trains or B. Assign your tracks as engines instead.  I use option A.

Lionel is aware of this bug and is working on it but I have not seen an eta on a fix yet.

Thanks,

Rob,

I input TRACK #1 2 3 & 4 into my CAB3 / BASE3 & ZWL Now when I click on TR in the CAB3 it comes up with all 4 in my TR ROSTER.  Now I click on TR1 and turn up my "SPEED DIAL"  or  "Speed Lever" to:  31 on the Velocity Meter and I have 18 volts to the Track as shown on the ZWL Voltmeter! I dont need my CAB2 or CAB1L to accomplish this. The only BUG is if you go beyond 31 on the Velocity Meter , you get all ball kinds of "GOOFY"  Voltage Readings and Settings.  This is still something they are working on, im sure !!!

Fred, I concur with your observations about using the CAB3 to address TR's assigned to ZW-L outputs. Also, the assigned ZW-L TR ID#'s don't show up in the roster in the app or in the B3SU as far as I can tell.

I find the ROSTER in both my B3SU (Train Data) & CAB3 APP (TR)     Remove them and try to reinput them now that you have the the BASE3 up and running!!!

I Played some more with this!  I find that if you set the TR# to 31 with the "Speed Dial" (Like I said before)  it puts 18V on the Track.  However if you carefully turn the Speed Dial to 62 on the Velocity Meter, it will "ALSO" put 18V on the Track.  The same thing holds true for using 93 on the Speed Dial . It puts 18V on the track.  Muliples of 31 does thr Trick.  I hope this helps them find this BUG and corrects it.

"FOOD FOR THOUGHT"!!!
