1st Post to the forum, and 1st stab at a Lionel O Gauge Layout. As this is a "test" kept small relative to how I would like to build this out one day, and to save space put under a 1932 Baby Grand Steinway...as a side note, Using a Power Mate 180, and got a 5mm male pigtail from Amazon so I could use the TMCC Direct Lock on Shed. Allowed me to still have the Power Track from Fast Track.

Very nicely done and I'll hazard a guess not seen before on this Forum. Great job!
Thank you Endless Tracks. Testing the hobby and so far really enjoying it! So much to learn, and this forum has helped. Still very confused about the different O Gauge Scale size Lionel makes. LOL...
Looks really nice. You had me at piano! and a 1932 Steinway!
Still working toward my layout, I have a Charles Walter vertical.
Well done! A great use of space!

Welcome. Nice work! You deserve the award for most creative use of space.

Now that’s proof you are doing it right!!
Very nicely done! I like it. Congrats.
Great job and welcome to the Forum.
I agree....if she's ready to kill or divorce you, you're definitely doing it right!
1932 Steinway.....nice
I know a thing or two about claiming unused space too. I bought the air rights over our filing cabinets for my layout. On the plus side- they make a solid base to hold the layout.

Me thinks the use of the term "air rights" in nearly as creative as the space you're claiming! Nice job!
On another note.... Roll Over Beethoven. just came on my Pandora....

I should have grabbed floor space on the other side of the basement when I had the chance. This corner was the junk pile, and the cabinets weren't going anywhere so.....
Now the rest of the basement has turned into the junk pile........
Thanks

Hi RV Junke: Welcome to the OGR Forum. Cool under the piano layout. We have a K Kawai Grand Piano in our front room. Thanks for the tip. I will have to try this with my Polar Express Train next Christmas. Add some snow and trees, 🎅🏻

If you are anything like most of us here, you are going to need a bigger piano soon.

Beautiful! The 2 turnouts on the ends, I plan on attaching a O36 circle and putting tree in the middle. Thats the plan at least.
For a while I had some Lionel Standard Gauge rolling under my 1980 Baldwin 9-foot concert grand! The piano was pimped up and refurbished with Steinway hammers and strings, voiced by outstanding technicians, (one of whom was also an O-gauge operator!) The piano was originally owned by American composer, Lori Laitman!
Sadly I did not take photos while the trains were underneath.
Great use of space!
v3 I guess...this stuff is ADICTING! Made COMPLICATED 11 switch cross over. I think I am up to 150' of wires as I will be powering each switch with Aux power, and all the lights are off Track power. Also added little LED's from Evans to show me where the Un-Coupler is...and I put a little JB Metal weld to raise the track ever so slightly on the Un-Coupler tracks to clear some of the couplers...Will be cutting a board thus it out from under Piano and will be going back under once I test fit everything. All switches are 072, main curves are O36 - due to tight space, with some O48 and O96 sprinkled for fun...
Little control box
Factory length and un touched wire from switch, I may cut that...trying to keep OEM as much as possible.
Evan LED and JB Weld Metal
