ERR or Electric Railroad Co. is the source for TMCC conversions,. If you can solder you can do it yourself following their instructions. If not, Gunrunnerjohn and GGG on this site can do it for you. Sound may be an issue as i don't know what ERR has currently in sound offerings - check their website

ERR has the gasoline powered sounds, pretty cool and would be neat for the Doodlebug.
ERR Gas Powered Doodlebug Sound Clip
The existing PS/1 electrocouplers on the Doodlebug are TMCC compatible, so if that's what you have, just use the existing couplers.
You'll need the ERR Cruise Commander, and the Gas Powered RailSounds Commander. Drop me a line and I can fix you up.
If it is a PS1 locomotive you can use the MTH couplers with the ERR TMCC module. Forget the smoke it is a nuisance, Doodlebug would not look good smoking like a steam engine. As to sound I would check the website. But I would go with the minimum.
The Doodlebug doesn't have a smoke unit.
But if it did have a smoke unit you could simulate a blown engine!! 😁😁
