Me again,

Today I have a diesel that upgraded some time ago with a PS2 upgrade kit.  It was running fine until yesterday when I noticed that at certain points along my main line the cab lights would go nuclear and I could hear a static sound (like when a wire shorts).  Engine would do this regardless of speed.  Pulled the shell and checked all visible connections and tightened any, including a loose ground pick up in the truck.  Put 'er back together and on the track, no joy

Only thing that comes to mind is a failure in the truck block, any thoughts... this was an older PS1 SD70 Mac, no idea of the number, did not get a box.  It is in BNSF Exec pain cab 9666.

Thanks.

I would open the engine and do the following.  First charge your battery.  Next I would pull the plug from the 7 pin connector on the side of the power board.  I would hit your rollers and ground to each truck with your continuity meter.  If you see continuity you have a wiring issue in that truck.  Usually when you see lights going super bright you may have a fet failing.
