Using Arch Bridges as part of a Trestle System | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

The Lionel Arch Bridges are very sturdy and easily hold the weight of the train. I was thinking of using them as part of a trestle system where the arch bridges are lined up one after the other for about 7-8 feet then use the individual Lionel trestle pieces for the curves to turn the train. Other than cost, I think the arch bridges could make an attractive trestle system for a toy train layout. Has anyone tried something like this ? If, so can you post photo(s) please.

A viaduct can consist of a mix of bridges -- just go with what gives you the look you're happy with. The big thing is to make sure that everything is either level or smoothly transitions to and from grades, and that you don't have too steep a grade.

Nothing fancy... 2.2% grade ...still evolving.
