We've lost the power supply for the TMCC base at the clubhouse. I don't have a Cab1/base anymore for reference and need to know what we need in a power supply for the base. HAve several misc wallwarts on hand...
Thanks,

The Lionel one is the only wall wart I have ever seem with the ground pin on the plug,. Without the ground pin TMCC will not function.
Sam;
These guys are right!
Boxcar Bill stocks them for $16 I believe. I just got one from him.

You can "skywire" one to work, but I strongly suggest you don't go that route and just buy the proper base.
Thanks for the crucial input fellas. We will scour the place again to see if it turns up - was 'lost' during the move.
If not, will order a replacement for certain!
SAM,
I may have an extra one. Let me look in my "GOODIE" Box and see.
Will give you a price you can't turn down. Let me know OK?

I had a Legacy base fail once and it took out the charger wall wart. I plugged another charger in, thinking it was the wall wart, and it took that one out too. Both chargers had their fuses blown. I replaced both fuses in the chargers (triangle screwdriver to take it apart, eh?) and they have been working fine now. The base had a short which I then found. BTW that base failed again, by going dark after 10 minutes or so each time I powered it up, but it didn't take the charger out. The second time I sent the base to Lionel who either fixed it or replaced it...don't know which...and it works fine now.
If you can't wait to get the real thing BUT you can find a wall wart that's output matches (remember its AC and not DC) you can jumper around the lack of the third prong by tapping pin 5 on the serial port on the command base and attach that to the ground screw on the outlet cover plate. This should get the other "side" of the transmitter tied to the house ground wires (thank's Dale for figuring that out).
We keep a lot of these style of power supplies around at work to substitute when someone's forgets or blows one out. MOST have DC output and none have three prongs.
Good luck.
SAM,
A new one is on the Way!!

Thanks a lot guys and especially THANK YOU Fred!
We'll wait for the proper one...
