They did a Bangor and Aroostook and L. and N. I suggest you call or e-mail Beth Marshall at Public Delivery Track. She has been a Weaver dealer for along time. Her email address is pdt212@gmail.com, or you could call her at 805-226-0320 between 10am and 3pm PACIFIC TIME.
Also, another long time Weaver dealer Petersen Supply Co. His phone number is (503) 246-3106. He is located in Portland Oregon. Both of these dealers could provide you with names of other wood chip hopper cars made by Weaver.
They made a GM&O version - when they were still offering kits/no trucks - back in the 70's,
I'd say. I have one (assembled; trucked; 20 years ago). I seldom see these cheap.
Haven't looked, lately.
The GM&O had a bunch of wood chip cars of various types; they served a lot of paper mills.
Just about all the southern RRs had them, due to the vast amount of pine trees in the area.
I know ACL, SAL, and Southern had them, maybe the old Norfolk Southern did too.
Thanks for the help. I have pretty much gone through the list of places that have any weaver left. Looks like it will be train shows to find any. Maybe I can make York this October and hunt there for more.....................Paul
The Bangor and Aroostook wood chip was made for Brentwood Antiques, we sold all 60 he did for us. Weaver was going to do another run, but never did
They also did the B&M and Maine Central. I have the BAR, B&M, and the MEC.
Here is a list of the wood chip hoppers Weaver cataloged:
U27000 Undecorated (black)
U27001 B&M
U27002 Burlington Northern
U27003 Canadian National
U27004 MEC
U27005 New Haven
U27006 Norfolk Southern
U27007 PRR (black)
U27008 ATSF
U27009 Southern Pacific
U27010 Union Pacific
U27011 Western Maryland
U27012 PRR (oxide)
U27013 BAR
U27014 Candian National (from 2015 catalog - don't know if ever produced)
Most road names had 6 road numbers. I have both types of PRR ones and they look great once a load is added.
