I made this "Ride Along" video to show the inside of my temporary Christmas layout.
Here is a short video of my williams WM GP9. I changed the 12 volt bulb to led inverted bulb and it didn't work well then I put 14 volt T3 3-1/2 bayonet bulb in the engine was set at 8 volts to 9 volts and you can see how much brighter the lights was.
Today's trains, yesterday's power. Post war and MPC locomotives on today's modern trains. The last three Amfleet cars have much improved LED lighting (thanks to Gunrunner John) and are a real improvement. It may take a night shot to really show them off.
This is running session of my new Lionel NS Southern Heritage Unit ES44ac. This one runs great and sounds great. However, I will be shipping this one back to Lionel on Monday for repair of the smoke unit otherwise I am glad to have this engine!
Brought out a CNW passenger train -- a "Business Special" to run at the club as I hadn't run the locomotives in a while. Put one of the kids to work running the train for the visiting guests while I worked on another project for the layout. Worked out well.
Matt,
Great video! Who is the manufacturer of your beautiful CNW passenger train?
Emile

Jeffrey:
Those D&RG PAs sure look good to me. Nice job with your video.
My three favorite steamers are the 3RD RAIL PRR T1 DUPLEX, the 3RD RAIL M1b, and the K-LINE postwar K4s #1361.
This is the T1 duplex

Chessie did you try the led bulbs? If so are they bayoneet type ? 18 volt? I hear future WBB will be all led.
George yes i did try the led bulbs and it was not bright enough and yes they was bayonet type and the led bulbs are 14 volt and i just ordered 14 volt led bulbs with frosted lense these are suppose to scatter light. I'm going to try them see how they work out. Jeff

Thanks.
The cars are a MTH, though the sleeper and diner are from a different set add-on than the full dome and 5-car set. CNW actually didn't have a full dome when they were running passenger. They got it from the Milwaukee Road. Not sure about the short dome either as I haven't seen any photos of one of those either. Hence the "business train" moniker. The locomotives are Atlas FM Erie-Builts. Unfortunately, zinc rot hit one of the couplers and the non-powered unit broke loose from the lead unit. Needless to say they'll be switched over to Kadees.
