Weekend Photo Fun 11-17-17-??

I am trying to build a Lionel PW Alaska Set -- 1611 --one car at a time and this week managed to pick up two new cars.  Both are in great shape. Need two more cars to complete the set. 

Flat car with arch under bridge.

Gondola with cannisters.

Also picked up this cool Lionel flat with trailers. Looks great in orange and blue.

Hi James,

Guilty as charged. Mason for a number of years has wanted a Lionel Mallard. 

So when a Darstead model came up on a reduced price sale back in the summer I snapped one up.

It's getting the works ERR Cruise Commander, Railsounds, a fan driven smoke unit and Guns Super Chuffer.

The smoke unit is a tight fit in the body and I have had to do a few creative modifications to get it to fit. But there is plenty of space in the tender for all the main boards and speaker.

I have had it running in a mocked up temporary configuration and it runs super smooth.

Ringling and Budweiser are both in town today with their animals. Somebody forgot to lock the Ringling elephant car though!  They wanna use the hood of the Mustang as a ramp and make a run for it at the crossing!
