Hi Scott and everyone. What a great start. Wonderful layout pics.
Action on the Seattle & Yakima RR
We decided to try a "night run" after this month's business meeting this week at the club. So we fired up the trains and turned off the lights. It gets pretty dark at Angels Gate Park as there are few lights.
It was fun, but somewhat challenging as the only lighting was the buildings on the layout, the signals, and the trains themselves. Jim Caccavo managed to get these shots using prolonged exposure:
I got these using the flash on my cell phone:
Very cool, Matt. I really like the first picture, looks like its lit by the moon
I found this 1050's advertisement on the bay with artwork of the Texas Special with Texas Alamo in the background so I thought of this from my layout.

Heading out to NJ for a week of vacation after work today w/ the family. Going to stop by my old LHS & hope they have some postwar goodies
aubv:
They sure made good use of Department 56 buildings for this scene.
Tex:
What a great replication of the poster. Love the TS.
That is truly a novel idea, Wigville. It makes for a very interesting scene on you layout.
terrific bridge. Is that one of Tim's? (I love bridges)
Thanks Sam.
No it's one of mine. It's several layers of 1/2 foam over plywood.
A Southern Pacific Daylight locomotive not seen all that often. Spring seems a good time to share this older photo. Hope that you enjoy it.
My son and I started construction on our roundhouse. He decided to set up a few cab units to get a feel of what we can expect at Spencer in May.
Very cool shot!
I just got a pair in too! I dedicate them to my mentor Scott. Hope good fortune comes your way!
Here's a shot of the signal installation completed earlier this week on the MARS. The locomotive #5584 is a B&O T3 by Sunset Models 3rd Rail.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Bo

You are now a master at weathering. This is wonderful work. Very realistic.
A few shots around the club layout from a few weeks ago. From top to bottom;
The Goose Creek On30 shops. The roster includes 3 2-6-0s, a Davenport, and a two-truck Shay. A shot of the Montour Interchange Track (M.I.T.) at the Montour JCT yard. A real-life AVR train passing by outside. A screenshot of a picture of a Rio Grande coal train on the layout.
Here is a brand new service pit & engine house.

These Guy's are putting a new roof on one of my buildings .
