What else could Lionel do with Super Bass?

Well, the UP Veranda has sounds in the oil tender it hauls along, so they've already broached that subject.  Lionel already has sound boxcars, cattle cars, and even a tank car or two.

Send the ultra low frequencies to a home subwoofer, then you will have the ultimate in Super Bass !

I recall when Neil Young was still involved with Lionel, they had something like this once at their York display.  This was quite some time ago, I think when they had their display in a tent by the yellow hall.

A big 18" subwoofer under the table would be a hoot, you could make like a real train was passing!

they need to put sound in all powered units.  they price of the superbass units is now equal to powered units in the latest catalog i believe

I actually like this idea.  If you've ever run three or four engines with sound in all, it really is impressive.  It's more than the volume, it's the beat of the primemovers all running together that is pretty neat.

BLI has done this in HO and N scale with their rolling thunder receiver and it's pretty impressive.
