They had a 2014 pre-order pricing insert in the brochure(s) at York.  So give them a call to place your tinplate pre-orders!

I am a big advocate of supporting LHS near you when possible. I have almost always been able to get what I want ordered, although not at as big of a discount as the big places. Milepost 38 as we know it closes on May 10th so I guess I will join the rest of you looking for a good place to order. Legacy Station and Sidetrack so far have been good at getting me what Milepost was not able to get.

Speaking of where to purchase Tinplate, Has anyone had experience with "The Train Shop at Brentwood Antiques" 

FWIW, I have and have always had a good experience.

 

I haven't seen any preorder pricing posted online yet, however I bet the pricing to be pretty much inline with last years.  I expect the street price on the Monorail set for example to be somewhere between $625-$675.

Seek out Sidetrack Hobbies.  Great prices and very helpful and congenial as a bonus.

I dont hold to the "support your LHS" model. My LHS is owned by and run by a bunch of crooks. Internet shopping for me or train shows only. 

Anyone know the deadline for placing orders from the LCT and Ives catalogs?

Orders are due at MTH from your dealer by May 30, 2014.  Many dealers including me will accept pre-orders for tinplate after that date, however they are subject to availability at MTH.

I received your email and see on your website the listing for preorders, but I don't see any for the Ives catalog.  I'm interested in one of the water towers.  I assume the deadline is the same as the LCT catalog.  Any word on a Tinplate traditions catalog?

Not that I can't look online, but I find it interesting that the preorder deadline is only 15 days away and they have yet to produce the printed version of the LCT catalog.

I'm still debating with myself whether or not to order the LCS monorail or wait for a different paint scheme.

The printed 2014 LCT catalogs shipped into our store today.  Your LHS should have them, or will be getting them soon.

 

So what is next on the agenda, Steve? Full-time grandpa?

very sorry to hear that Steve. I send all prayers for her quick recovery. It is amazing what doctors can do these days. My mom had major surgery in late February and is now 50 times better than she was beforehand. In January, it looked very bleak for her.She is 77 and has recently started driving herself to her MD appts. by herself. Wishng you both the best.
