I cannot make the Spring meet but am planning on going in October for the first time. My question is this: Is Friday or Saturday the better day to attend? My plan was to drive from Delaware on Thursday night and be there 1st thing on Friday and stay all day. Or is it better to arrive on Friday and plan on spending the day at the meet on Saturday? I cannot do both days but want to get the best "bang for the buck".

I am hoping those who have been attending can give me some advice.

Thanks!

John

I've always made the trek to arrive on Wednesday and stay until Saturday. While some may only have a day to see the sites or all the days, it really is just your preference. Doing all day Friday would probably work best for you. This is because Thursday opens up at noon, where Friday is bright and early. You would have more time to take in as much of the day as it is open instead of trying to squeeze it all in.

Saturday is a bit more laid back IMO. Last year I stayed a little longer on Saturday then the prior year(I left at 2 I think, prior was around 11).

Each day has its pluses and minuses.  Thursday is a short day but there is the OGR get together at Quaker Steak and Lube.  It's the perfect opportunity to meet a lot of people from the forum.  Friday is the longest day.  You have enough time to check out all the halls.  Saturday is a short day also.  But, even though a lot of the vendors are starting to pack up early, they would rather sell to you than take everything back with them.  So, it's an opportunity to get some really good prices on items you might not have considered before.
