Hi and Merry Christmas to all, what would be the max. number of 022 switches with lights that I would be able to operate on circuit "B" of a ZW transformer without overloading--thanks Greg
Figure 16 pairs just for the lights at 14-16 volts, that will put you at about 200 watts, right at the continuous maximum rated output for the ZW. Nothing left over for trains, but you should be able to exceed the max for momentarily activating the switches.
LED bulbs used in the switches will reduce the power use. The incandescent bulbs are 2.7 watts in the lantern and 4.5 watts each in the switch controller. I do it to keep the power use and heat down. No melted lanterns on the switch or burned fingers on the exposed bulb switches. Town and Country says their LED bulbs use 1/3 the power.
