So I picked up [from the advice of fellow forumites] from 3K toys 4 of these JD 1:48 scale Lawn Tractors.
For a little over $2.00 each, I can't complain. Right away after receiving them, I researched on the web to find out the 1:1 model. It appears to be the JD X 465 series of garden tractors.
The model on the right is OEM out of the box. The Model on the left has been detailed, including the Mowing deck. A mini Philips head screw holds the mowing deck to the tractor so disassembly is easy for detailing.
Some of the detailing done were as follows based on the web picture to the model shown:
- highlighted in black the "toolbox/cupholder
- highlighted in black the "fender panic grab bars"
- highlighted in black the rear tire center hubs
- highlighted in black the front weight line separations
- highlighted in black the side grills on hood
- highlighted in black the bottom of seat
- highlighted in black the deck between the seat and engine hood
- highlighted in black the deck belts and safety guards
- highlighted in GREEN the rear end [oem had it painted black]
Future details may include N scale warning signs for chute
a type #90 hex head screw for the deck adjustment between the seat and engine hood
cut out the steering wheel spacing.

I believe you can find this item at a local tractor supply store as well.
IF you have a suburbia section on your layout, you might want to consider obtaining this detail, esp if you model the spring/summer seasons. The wheels are free rolling so it's possible to make this item animated too!
