I bought several LED lights for 6" cans at the home improvement store. They were in the $30 range at the start, and have been coming down in price. Aldi foods has a comparable LED light for only $12.99!

I had just finished buying eight more lights at the higher price when I found these. I bought one to test it and the color and brightness matched what I had already bought. I could have saved a lot of money.

I had thirteen 75 watt (GE neodymium) bulbs in my ceiling fixtures. Had to have half on one wall switch and the other half on a second wall switch because even though it was about 10 amps total when it was on one switch you could hear the switch arc when operated. Well I just bought 60 watt LED bulbs at Lowes for $1.79 ($1.99 - 10% veterans discount). They are 800 lumens 8 watt. Definitely bright enough and now the total power consumption is less than an amp.
