I just installed my first 153IR with a Die-Cast Cantilever Signal Bridge- Is there a list of lionel accessories that will function with the 153IR? I do have some older signals but aren't sure if they can be used with the IR- I don't like using the contactors- Thanks for your help-Rolf

Rolf: The #153IR accessory can be used with any accessory that need an "normally open" and "normally closed" operating architecture. This would include the Lionel #151 semaphore, #153 block signal, #450 double track block signal etc. It will operate MTH + many other operating accessories that need an electrical switch to open one set of contacts and close another set of contacts.
You can also wire more that one accessory to them to operate in tandem (within reasonable electrical loads).
Stated differently, the 153IR can operate anything the contactor did. Plus, it has an adjustable time-delay to keep the accessory operating for some number of seconds after the caboose (or equivalent) passes whereas the contactor shuts off immediately. In many applications the 153IR can detect across multiple parallel tracks - crossing gates for example.
