Anyone know where I can find one of these for a Reasonable PRICE.  OR can someone make one up at a Reasonable Price?  With shipping, LIONEL wants $31.00! The one my Train Club is using that connects the 180W Brick to the Legacy POWERMASTER has a very bad connector. I need a NEW Connector with a 6" Pigtail to splice into the exosting one.

E-Mail is in my PROFILE,

Thanks

Fred,

It's good to be thrifty, especially of you're handy with tools.  In the interest of helping those who aren't let's do a little analysis.

The cable you've specified is $19.99 on Lionel's site; shipping is about $11.00.  It might not be competitive, but how is this unreasonable?  Shipping costs have skyrocketed since the pandemic began.  In spite of this $11.00 seems very reasonable to me.

Then, if it's like most, your club probably has a minimum of $25,000.00 invested in its layout, and you and the other members run locomotives costing upwards of $500.00 ea.

How is $19.99 too expensive?  It might be because this cable also has an inline fuse holder, which you probably don't need.

Ok, then try this set at $15.99:

TMCC TPC Cable Set, 6-14194 | Lionel

I think that you might find that you'll spend more money playing around than you save.  Pricing plus shipping from Mouser or Digi-Key might save you $10.00 if you're lucky.

Thrifty is good and $10.00 is not chump change, although it's getting there quickly.  But ordering a complete assembly is not that extravagant either.

Let us know how it turns out.

Mike

...Will these places you recommend, sell  quantities of one & two? And do they have inexpensive shipping, like USPS? Or do they have fixed shipping costs like Lionel ($10.00)?

If you do a web search HERE, you can get 4 sets of male & female connectors with pins for under $10 shipped. Just use the parts you need - lots cheaper than other methods.
