Hi everyone I just picked up a new to me a 1940's era crane for my layout and I need to get a wire diagram and if I am luck enough some pictures so I can redo the aging wire in it. I plan to try and do my best to restore it to new looking so any help would be great! Here are a couple photos of it.IMG_20200105_064541051IMG_20200105_064547792IMG_20200105_064559209IMG_20200105_065920861

Thanks in advance!

It appears that all the wiring is there, so you should be able to replace the wiring, one wire at a time.  I know there are places that sell new look alike wire and cable on spools that you could use to rewire crane.  Just have to be skillful with the solder iron and solder pencil to make joints look professional.

Hi guys, thanks for all the information!

RRMAN, yes all the wires are there, but one has come lose in transit and I am not sure where it goes. I will try to get out today and take a picture of the inside wiring and maybe someone can tell me.

The wire diagram should help but I know if I cant figure it out there are a lot of great guys like you all here to help!

Bob and Rob thanks for the diagrams and advice!

RTR, I always take pictures of something before I take it apart, I never use to do that and it always kicked me in the butt! LOL Then someone here gave me the advice of taking pictures and it sure has made life a lot easier!

Thanks again!
