I am going to look for the older #195 floodlight towers after buying the new Lionel version, which does little to supply light! First off, does anyone have a good source for the two-pin bulbs. I am paying over $3 a bulb, but they are good replacements. Any one with #195s for sale?? Thanks!!

Jeff Kane, The Train Tender, sells them for $1.50 each in quantities of ten.
The 195's use a standard #12 lamp rated for 6.3 volts. I've gone to my local Napa and bought out their stock for about $1 a bulb last year. The Napa part number is LMP 12.
Thanks for the replies! I see in the Lionel booklets for bulb replacement they list their bulb at 6-8 volts. Are those heads on the flood lights in a series, because I have been using my flood at more than just 8 volts. Does the eight bulb combination allow the higher voltage?
I'll be checking out those sources.
The bulbs are 6.3 volts and wired in series in an ingenious manner with conductive spring bus thus allowing operation at 12-14 or so volts:
THANKS for explaining all this. Very interesting!

NAPA now shows $1.39, but isn't clear if that is each or box of 10. There may be an online 20% discount. They show .95 Watts, but don't list the voltage.
