Just picked up the new 20-95106 MTH 40' shipping containers. Thanks to MTH for continuing to produce modern intermodal equipment with a large variety of shipping companies.
Below are a few observations from the new issue in regards to manufacturing results.
1. Containers will not stack on top of each other as posts on the bottom of the containers and holes on top do not line up
2. Some posts do not appear to line up with the premier cars I have from MTH leaving the containers to ride unlevel
3. Older issues of the 40' containers will stack up on top of the new release, but not on the bottom
4. Containers will not line up to stack on top or below the 48' containers due to post location
I may just cut off the posts on the 40' units since this is not the end of the world and having the variety of shipping lines is great for my layout.
Here's to hoping that MTH comes out with some new 53' well cars and containers soon!!
