Upon learning replacement shells were available for the PolEx Vision Reindeer Car to correct the mispainted original shells, I found one at a forum sponsor. I shipped it to Lionel for the shell swap and had it back in nine days (awesome turnaround time). So far, so good.
But, then this is what came back:
Surely there was a mistake and they installed another original shell and not the corrected one, right? There is no way they repainted them and they were this far off again, right? For reference, the repainted PolEx RPO is on the right and an original passenger car on the left. The Reindeer car isn’t close to either of them.
Can someone who has gone through the swap process post pictures of the final version, preferably next to a correct PolEx passenger or RPO car?
