200 vs 500 series

Im new to standard gauge and have purchased several 200 series cars. I was wondering what the differences are between 200 and 500 series cars. I assume it is size, but the dimensions are not listed in MTH's catalogs or their website.

Would the different series cars look okay together?

The coupler on my 400e will take 200 or 500 series cars. The coupler on the tender is low but it wii pull both with no problem.

Here is a short video of American Flier wide gauge cars behind my 400E. I bent a latch coupler to work with the AF coupler. I like the look of these cars and I plan to add some more.
