2056 hudson E unit problems

I just finished cleaning and rebuilding the motor of a 2056 hudson I cleaned up its E unit But the e unit just buzzes and won't recycle The drum rotates easily. the pawl goes up and down when I move it manually the fingers are all clean the drum is free of burned marks What should i do next?

See if you put it in backwards.

Check the motor. Did you forget brushes. I did that once. Check that the three wires are connected properly. Green to motor coil. Blue and yellow to motor.
