28 Ga Kynar wire from Evans use question

I use #30 wire-wrap wire for most of my lighting upgrades, it's pretty easy to hide anywhere.  I have spools of it left over from years ago, and I'm still working my way through it.

What do you think about it for pickup wiring? It seems to be rated for it.

I have never even considered #30 wire for pickups!  First off, it's solid wire, but it's really not nearly large enough anyway.  I use #22 superflex wire as a rule for pickups. 

While Evans may think that wire is good for 5A, any derailment where you shorted one of the pickups to the outside track would take that wire out in a heartbeat.
