4th of July weekend.....

Today I brought out the Lionel '47 Freedom Train.  Here it is at a local station taking orders, and my 5 year old grandson who is running the train.

I went through my red, white and blue collection and found that I have only two cars that specifically celebrate the 4th. The others are bicentennial, patriotic, support our troops, flag only, or 9/11 cars.  Here are those two:

And as I posted on a previous 4th of July weekend, the attached billboard occupies a special place on my layout all year long.  Plus the 4th is also my wife's birthday!
