There was a 1951 Ford Victoria and a Fordor San Francisco police version offered by Brooklin but both are discounted.

Nothing found in 1/48. Here's a 1/43 but a little pricey?
Lots of 49-50s around but never seen a 51 modeled in 1/43 or 1/50. Only big difference appearance wise is the 2 bullet grill and dashboard. I owned a number of real ones, very similar running gear.
Here is one on the Bay

Do you rember if the 51 came as a 4 door?
Yes. 2 door club coupe,2 door sedan,4 door, plus a convertible. I think they also made a Crown Victoria as well as Crestliner. The 1950 did not have a hood ornament as I remember. The 49 and 51 did. other differences were door handles and trunk lid and some chrome strips. Some 51 fords had bad chrome due to shortages from the Korean war. I think 51 was the first year they offered an automatic. Some colors were black, a blue green, white, creme, red. 100 hp flathead V8 8BA engine 239 CI. Also a 95 hp six which was a good engine as well. Fairly fast for the day. They could be bored out quite a bit as cylinders became egg shaped from wear.. Aluminum heads and adjustable lifters were available along with a 3 carb manifold with 2 Bl Stromberg carbs. Good crank shafts. I rebuilt quite a few of them in my time. A more modern 327 Chevy could also be easily fit in.

Wow Dale! You keep surprising me with your skills, past and present!
The 50 did have the same hood ornament as the 49 but the plastic insert was slightly elongated while the 49 was more like a 1/4 circle.
I owned a '49 coupe and later also a 51 Crestliner 2dr Hdtp.
The video is great except at times it's confusing as to which car Robert Mitchum is supposed to be driving. Most of the cars appear to be 1957 models.

My first car was a 51 Ford v8 flat head.. I was almost sure it was a 4 door but you don't ever see them anymore. I bought it from my grandpa in 1960 he had trown a rod through the pan. We toed with a rope from Sullivan, Mo to St. Louis, MO about 60 miles. This is why I have been looking for the 51 ford, at this point I would even take any kink of nice looking 51 in "O" scale.
Thank You

The first car he drove was a 50 Ford fitted with cool accessories, such as a large tank to carry illegal whiskey and an valve and oil tank which left oil on the road to elude those chasing him. There was a shot under the hood in the movie,a flathead V8 with triple carbs. That car crashed in the movie, replaced by a 57 Ford with Gene Barry as a T man chasing him in a 57 Chevy. He crashed in the end.
here is a video of the 50 alone

I think I saw one in town today. It was in pretty rough shape though. They were picking up a Christmas tree.
I kid you not.
Diecast Direct (http://www.diecastdirect.com) has 1949 and 1950 coupes and sedans, but no 1951's.
The 1950 four-door can be viewed here.
