Here's a building front that my dads friend gave me that was a a ameri town bulding further that was messed up at his work, he works for a comply that makes that kind of stuff any thing that is plastic. Here's som pictures of mines and note that it has mother in the joints I made that like that and the part that is ring is the fire house doors on the front they are the rong style. Paul/Matt

Nice work MIKE CT.  The last photo is that a big bridge out your window or a backdrop.  Your Gear MFG building turned out nice. 

We have a few OGR buildings.  Here is a set of three, Fire station 8, the middle one is cut down and is a dairy, and the one on the left is a Oma's books and Nana's quilts.  The tall green one is kit-bashed too and is Edwards Hotel. 

Well they are not built as of today. I do have a number of them to build for the layout.I have started to build 1 of the many I have on hand.

We redesigned the Ameri-Towne packaging and replaced it with the new design over 10 years ago!! 

We used Ameritowne buildings to install a strip of shops on our Sydney club layout.With a bit of imagination, they make a beautiful addition to your landscape.

AT oneThe great thing about Ameritown is it is so perfect for bashing and creative construction.

Rich I have had these for less then 2 years. I do have at least 4 with the new packing. And the older ones wear purchased through the Bay or through Trains, I know that I need to get busy with my layout but it seems like there are other priorities that you need to finish first then Trains.

These Ameritowne kits look like they would provide great materials for creating faux backdrop structures that extend about three inches or so from a back wall behind the mainline track. Can they be illuminated? I might attempt it when I get my layout under construction. I prefer actual buildings verses photos or flat cardboard building fronts.

Here are some shots of my downtown. I used 24 Ameri-Towne buildings. One large department store in blue is three of the same across. The Hotel, green, is two of the same stacked. I had lots of fun painting them in all kinds of colors.

This would make a nice Ameritowne build.

The old Design Preservation Models that Woodland Scenics bought out had some building fronts almost identical to them, too.  

Here's mine from the old layout.....some Walther's and DPM mixed in.....

Woodland Scenics offers the individual walls in packs of two for $10. Attached is their web page address.

Some of the walls will match up fairly well with the picture but the first floor front entrances would have to be scratched built.

I have attached photos of some walls that get close. Unfortunately one can not mix OGR and DPM walls since their are different widths and brick structure.

Grandt Line sells double doors and 'store fronts' that could be used to build the front entrances.

If you decide to purchase the DPM walls I have some stock and offer a discount. I can also quote the building for you if you would like.

Ameri-Towne • Flat Structures

     My layout has four main lines and it is a shelf layout, with a foot print of about 25 x 10 feet forming a U - Shape.  I have two raised levels and this is part of the top level.        Ameri-Towne Flat structures, made from several kits. There are also these same type of structures on the second level.

    These photos only show part of the top level, The green trestle.

Hello everyone  I decided to pick out 1 of the Ameri-Towne buildings. So I grabed the 1st one and easiest one to reach. Which is the #872  Burke Building. And I just soaked it in some soapy water and  washed it off with some water. So tonight I'll get the paints together and decide what color to paint the building. The red just turns me off for some reason.     Scot
