My fiancé Tom came up with this idea and I'm mulling it over. I'm interested in folks thoughts.
We have space for a loop of the Std. Gauge track on the hardwood floor around the pool table, either just over 5' x 8-1/2' or possible as long as 9' .
The width under the pool table if we put two switches and a diagonal line is not long enough for my MTH Ives circus set to put there out of harm's way when we are not running it.
The handled cookie cutter is basically a wooden (or maybe even metal) open bottomed and open ended box that with a smallish handle on top could be set over at least the loco and tender to protect them, and lifted on and off as needed.
Perhaps I can scenic and paint it up to look a bit like the old Lionel Std Gauge mountain. It could be a fun project, I'd maybe solicit my artist dd to help me.
Anyone made something like this? I've only made O-scale mountains out of chicken wire with news-paper mache' or using plaster cloth thus far.
