The small Santa Fe depot at my mythical Carbondale has an old but active Harvey House.
Color copied original signage.

Excellent
Thanks Don
So is that structure a kit or what? It does look familiar......and nicely done, too.
Please tell us more.....
John, I had no idea the Harvey houses had their own supply car. MWB it is the old Weaver kit.
I was not aware of the Harvey Santa Fe map cars. Very interesting.
I do know of Company service reefers, painted Santa Fe coach green, which had passenger-style imitation gold lettering, assigned to supplying the Harvey Houses along the railroad. Fred Harvey took good care of Santa Fe and Santa Fe took good care of Fred Harvey. I had some good meals in Harvey lunch counters along the railroad, back in the day.
Ron and Tom, I wrote an LCCA magazine article a few years back, I think Fred Harvey had six supply cars. I haven't seen a picture of one, the HO shell could be a fantasy paint scheme. John
Well done!
Peter
Harvey was well involve in the big tourist venues, the Grand Canyon, south rim, example. There are a lot of historic references to Harvey and the waitresses, (Harvey Girls).
Great work!!!
Thanks, Rattler. It's a nice looking express reefer regardless.
