Hello guys, some here in the forum already know my current layout FASTRACK is small.

Today talking to my father, the idea of doing in the cave of his house because he lives in front of my house.

I have one major issue which I thought, continue to use the FASTRACK or not, because the current layout have curves 036 and switch 036, what do you think?

I'm sending the measures of space I have, because I would like suggestions for layouts, because I have no experience and has not bought rrtrack.

I would keep my turntable, for now I will have more space and also have 2 or 3 levels of track and bridge or bridges!

Thanks,

If I were going from a layout with o36 fastrack to a space this large, I would use o72 even if you don't have big equipment. Trains that will run on o36 look so much better running on o72 curves.

I think a layout this large in fastrack would be expensive to do.

Decide what you like, but use o72. You can get larger, but if you are used to o36 it may not matter. You can make a beautiful layout in that space.

I will definitely use 072, but would like parallel lines, as very attractive.
What I was thinking of using the lines that I have and switches (11), but really do everything in fastrack, must be very expensive. Which track you recommend?

Thank you,

Buy the Special #3 as it has all the track libraries. That will give you some design flexibility (who knows, you might want to use flex in the future.) You might also want to get hold of the accessory libraries (Misc. O Scale) as well because it covers Walthers, Korber and others.

Matt, thanks !

I have AnyRail program I'm trying to make a curve with flexible Atlas, but I need help to understand the size to make a curve(072) de 180* (half circle)

The flexible Atlas 40' how many I 'm going to need to make curve (072) to build half circle.

How I 'm going to make a curve (072) with flexible?

Thanks,

Hello, gang!
Actually made the decision to get into a new space in the house of my parents and after seeing thousands of post here in the forum and see many models now have some decisions.

Here we go:

- I will use flexible track will be the smallest radius is 072;
- As love tank cars must have a refinery;
- The Turntable to have the garages of locomotives;
- Railway passengers to the City;
- I would like to have multiple levels, tunnels, wooden bridges, etc.

RRtrack not yet bought, but I'll do it this next week, everyone knows that I live in Brazil and the distance gets a little complicated.

I accept suggestions, I thought to hire a person to do!

It's hard I choose, because I like almost everything I see on the forum!

If you can help me I appreciate it!

Thank you all.

Leandro,

You are going to need a lot of patience when jumping into a project this big. Before laying any track in a program, sit down and do two things: First, make a list of 15 scenes that you would like to have represented on your layout.  They will include your refinery, roundhouse, passenger terminal and your bridge. Other scenes could include a city section and other stores (the passengers will need somewhere to go) and any industries that would be served by some of your favorite rolling stock.

Next, grab a pencil, a good eraser, and some paper and start to doodle a track plan keeping in mind your 15 scenes.

Once you choose those 15 scenes, list them back here in your post and I and others will chime in with our ideas for a track plan.

Leandro,

Stewart, Thanks !

Perfect, thanks for the tip ... I will do that I will soon return.

Guys, good night!
I tried to do what Stewart said, but I'm not good at it!
I love the  O scale and thousands of models, but unfortunately here in Brazil our railway is poor which is different in the USA.
You live it day by day, in the backyard, on the roads, there is a train, stations, companies that use trains and here too little and far.
Unable to list what I would like to have, but it was only that. My departure will be paid to a person or company to do my layout.!
Well what I would like to have .... all I see here in the forum, but will not give ...
I like mountains with tunnels, river, lake, bridge of wood and iron, industry, station, turntable, village residents, etc. ...

If someone can give me tips thank you very much!

Thanks for reading my posts.
