Not space enough for a hotel? Google the Tiger Hotel in the ghost town of Burke, Idaho. Burke was built in a VERY
narrow canyon with a stream down it. The hotel had to be built to straddle the canyon, so the stream, and the the Northern Pacific ran THROUGH the center of the hotel, the street ran underneath of one end of it, and another railroad ran in the center of the street. I am seeing different dates, as late as 1964, and as early as 1945 when the hotel was torn down, and I am looking for better pictures than those I pulled up in several sites. I might have room for this.
