I Fly my flag Every day.
I might put out the expensive cotton one tho.
The man made materials last better but don't have the same look & feel.
I might have to celebrate by getting one of the Lionel Army gensets..
Charlie , 100% with you on this, My flag will fly !!!!!!!!
Thanks, Alex
If you can find one. I got mine a Month ago and I LOVE it. They are all Die Cast. I use it to pull 15 Army Flat Cars loaded with Tanks, Helicopters, Jeeps, Humvees & Halftracks. I have an Operating Flag on my Layout!
FREDSTRAINS
Got mine (three) all ready to go out in front of the house tomorrow morning.
Will have to pass on this one...definitely NOT because I want to, but because they will be putting new shingles on my home tomorrow and I needed to remove the flagpole (which is attached to the side of my garage). Otherwise I fly the flag every day. Just "bad timing" this time around.
EVERYDAY should be Flag Day.
Thanks Charlie, good reminder for us all.
Mine flies everyday, too.
For all the good we've done for the world, the entire planet should be marking these two events, too.

This triggers a question: Does anyone know a source of O-gauge locomotive Flags? Some railroads flew American Flags on their locomotives on special days. I can remember seeing them on the B&O.
I have always flew my flag each and every day of the year, except for the past 2-3 years while I went and stayed in the hospital. But I made sure I got the flag and pole up and on display this year. I had to put a bolt into it to stabilize it since the pole broke into 2 pieces some time when I was away.
My flag has flown 24/7 ever since 9/11.
I wear my flag on my sleeve.
Mine flies 24/7 with a light on it at night. Over the last several years, I see more and more flags being flown on neighbors homes.
Mine is flying 24/7 also.
Question where can I find 48 star flags for the Lionel Flag Pole that will be on my lay-out?

Lionel made them and they were included with the Legacy F-7s.
Lionel's site now shows them as unavailable, but maybe they'll come back into stock.
Everyday is Flag Day at my house.
Bob
We have the flags in stock, $.85 ea. plus $3.00 shipping.

I put mine out about an hour ago. Two on each side of the front porch and one on the mailbox.
some good rules here in case you fly flags on your layout.
#8 is one i see many people get wrong.

Ditto!

Flag is down right now, painting the deck. Fly it 24/7 and will be back up tomorrow. Tom Make that today since it is Flag Day.
I'm sort of disappointed. I drove around our neighborhood. Sixty-tree homes. Three others with flags. About one in fifteen homes is all. On the other hand Lowes had a big flag day display upon entering the building, so its not like people haven't been reminded.
God Bless America and all she stands for.
We fly the US Flag at our home every day-/24/7. On special days, a flag that flew over Kandahar US Air Base in Afghanistan, is honored and unfurled from dawn to dusk. This flag was a gift from US Navy Seabee (and toy train friend) Lance Prucnal and we are proud to fly it.
Thanks.

Rained again today, so I left the all weather Flag up.
Lee, Happy to report 3 of my 5 neighbors have flags up. The other 2 are elderly women and they don't have flagpoles or staff mounts. I may have to donate some.
The entire town is well covered with them.
Living in a rural area has that effect.
