I received a phone call from a lady whose husband had passed away. Her and her husband purchased trains from us back in the 80's and 90's. She needed some help in getting his trains ready to sell. A lot of his trains were just sitting loose and she had no idea as to what went with certain sets and what cars and engines went in what boxes. I told her I would be more than glad to help her. While at her home I spotted a Weaver Pennsylvania Power and Light PS-2 covered hopper. I ask her if it would be ok to take a picture of it. She said Jimmy just take the car for she appreciated my help. This car was a custom run Weaver did for us back I believe in 1988.

Mr Sutter,
Remember this if you will, "No Kind Deed Goes Unrewarded". You became the victim of your own kindness.
Great way to start the weekend, more power to you and enjoy the car.

Jim,
Yep I have that Pa Power & Light Car stored away some place, got it from some guy's trains shop up near Indiana, Pa, in the 80's. Darn nice Weaver rolling stock.

Good Morning everyone. Thank you for your kind words. Most of the trains they had were Lionel. A lot of them were from the good old MPC days. Just seeing those trains brought back a lot of good memories to me.
Very special gift, Jim. I know you will treasure it.
Very nice !!!!!

Pretty car.
I think that car would be a good seller today.
A nice story, for sure, Jim. We miss you being in the business!
Jimmy:
You’ve been retired now for several years and you’re still helping out your customers!
That car is a well-deserved reward for your many years of exceptional customer service.
We miss buying from you.

Holy Cow Jimmy....I have that car! Don't remember where I got it and didn't know it was a special run for you!! WOW!!

leavingtracks,
The reason I asked the lady who had it if I could take a picture of it, was because it was never pictured on Weaver's website. I don't remember when Weaver started listing all the custom run cars they did for people with pictures. I can think of three other cars we did that were never listed.
Touching.
Weaver wasn't just a flash in the pan, as far as train makers go.
Someone should begin documentation of what was produced now.
Before the info is in more attics, than memories.
Jimmy,
Nice story.
Take care,
