I picked up this Twin Whistle Sign and Kit Co. kit at a show.   I had never done a a styrene craftsman kit, and it looked like a nice kit to learn on.  You get a box of styrene strips, plastic window sheets, a few castings, and instructions.  The instructions were fairly good, but I needed to add some scrap 1/8" square strips and angles to support the corners.  I used Plastruct Plastic Weld for the structure, Testors Clear Parts cement for the windows, and ACC and contact cement for the castings.  I primed it with rattle can white primer, and airbrushed Polly S Milwaukee orange which matched the decals perfectly.  The kit comes with all the decals and signs.

Beautifully done! That shade of orange is perfect. The girls look like they're waiting for their next customer. I live on Long Island and there used to be several A&W's around here. No more!

There's still one upstate in Lake George, NY.  The girls still bring your order out to your car and hang it on the window! Still serve their root beer in a frozen mug!

Send another photo when you have it placed on your layout. (Near the drive-in movie?)
