Hi everyone. I'm trying to determine which transformer to use for accessories. Mostly lighted accessories with a MTH Firehouse and 2 switches. Lionel makes the 36 watt accessory transformer or the next step up would be the CW-80. What are the most accessories that can be run on either transformer?

It's ~2.5A@ 14VAC for acc. transformer and 5A for the CW-80. Quite a few for either one. Really depends on how many incandescent lights are constantly drawing power. Most others are momentary and not simultaneously.
Both voltage outputs can be adjusted.
I think member Cjack had some Cw's for sale in the For sale or trade forum.
I'm afraid that question is something like asking "How long is a road?".
You need to specify specifically which accessories and the power draw for each. Also, the operating frequency and if they'd be simultaneously drawing max current will figure in.
If it just for accessories, why not go with the MTH Z1000? 100w and has connections where you can wire the accessories. I have mine probably powering 8 or more buildings plus I may have 2 trains operating off of it at the same time.
Additionally, it is a lot cheaper than the CW-80.
I think I'm with Casey, probably a bit more power for that much stuff, depending on how many lights are in the buildings.
