Good Morning,

I have a 4"x14" space between a road and a mainline track that needs to have something going on in it.  Do you folks have any suggestions for a small lighted or action accessory that can be somewhere in that space?  I'm not looking to necessarily fill the entire space, but there has to be something going on somewhere in that space.  Its tough because most of the smaller accessories are at least 5 inches in width or depth.  Thanks for any suggestions!

I don't know if you use postwar style accessories, but the 282/282R gantry crane might work.  It straddles the track and you could have a pile of scrap metal next to it or a truck waiting on the road to offload some metal.  also depends where this space is supposed to be.  if it's some rural area, then this is a stupid suggestion.  you could try to get the dimensions on one of those operating billboards.  either the one that changes the display, or the guy gluing up the new sign.  I wouldn't think those would be that deep

Bob:

Since the \space is between a road and track how about a small MOW or RR right of way equipment/tool shed.

You can buy something like Grandt Line's Small Section Tool House or make your own. I have taken the electrical shed and lengthened it to about 9 inches for my layout.
