As luck would have it, while running trains this evening with my granddaughter, Jessa, age 9, my new Lionel SW7 de-railed inside my mountain. Of course it was right in the center!
Luckily though, I built an access panel into the mountainside for this very inevitable. In fact, my wife advised that I use magnets to hold the panel in place:

This is only the third time in four years that I needed to open the hatch. In fact, I have a switch track at that point that I can actually remove for service if needed. It uses a DZ1000 that I needed to replace once.
I suppose I would have needed dynamite if not for the hatch!
