I picked up a KW transformer at the York Meet and I am currently rebuilding it. I see that a handle with the A on it is an after market and was glue in place. Will it came off and I was wonder who else has run into a similar problem. I would like to know how you repair it.

Harry here. We make the handles. They consist of 3 pieces. The large handle, a 'knob' that is glued into the handle, and either an 'A' or 'B' cap is then glued to the knob. All 3 pieces are available as a set or individually. The complete handle assembly is removed by use of a large flat blade screw driver inserted between the upper and lower handles. A lot of times just a good 'grip' on the handle pulling straight up will remove it. Harry

Thanks for the reply I got it the handle off. But I need to glue the after market knob back on any suggestion as what glue to use? I will send a picture in a few mins.
Can't you just glue that handle back on? I suggest something like CA gel, it'll fill gaps.
Yes, just 're-glue' it. The knob has a spline on it that will line up w/ the spline slit in the handle. Use some plastic glue , line up the spline and slot and press back together. Harry
